Icom IC-7110 – Advanced HF/VHF/UHF All-Mode Transceiver

The Icom IC-7110 is a new-generation all-mode amateur radio transceiver designed for operators who want maximum versatility in the shack, vehicle or field.

Building on the successful concept of the IC-7100, the IC-7110 combines a compact two-piece design with modern SDR technology, an advanced colour display and comprehensive connectivity. Covering HF, 50 MHz, 144 MHz and 430 MHz, it provides a single solution for a wide range of amateur radio applications.

With D-STAR, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integrated, together with independent dual receivers for HF and VHF, the IC-7110 offers a high level of flexibility and connectivity.

The IC-7110 features a separate control head and main radio unit, allowing the transceiver to be installed according to the operator's requirements. The compact main unit can be installed discreetly in a vehicle or beneath a station desk, while the control head can be positioned in the most convenient operating location.

This flexible architecture makes the IC-7110 suitable for fixed amateur radio stations, mobile installations, portable operation, fielddays and temporary stations.

The IC-7110 provides comprehensive coverage of HF, 50 MHz, 144 MHz and 430 MHz, combining these bands in a single multimode transceiver. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, from HF DXing and contesting to local VHF/UHF communication.

One of the key features of the IC-7110 is its independent dual-receiver architecture. The radio allows simultaneous monitoring of different signals and bands, including HF and VHF, making it possible to keep track of two separate operating environments at the same time.
This is particularly useful for DX operations, monitoring local VHF activity while operating on HF, contesting and field operations.

The IC-7110 combines modern SDR technology with a high-resolution colour display featuring a real-time spectrum scope and waterfall. The graphical interface makes it easy to identify signals and band activity around the operating frequency, providing an immediate overview of the RF environment.

Integrated D-STAR support provides access to Icom's digital amateur radio ecosystem, combining conventional analogue modes with digital voice communication.

Modern wireless connectivity is also built into the IC-7110 with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi provides network connectivity and supports advanced remote and control applications, while Bluetooth enables convenient wireless connection of compatible accessories.
