The UBCD260DN has several important differences compared to the BCD260DN (USA model):

- Official CE approval for the EU/UK market (Uniden BCD260DN does not have CE approval and is illegal to sell in the EU/UK)
- Extra modes: dPMR with 2.5 kHz and 3.125 kHz step support
- Ability to select slot on DMR
- Correct 8.33 kHz support for the EU market
- Search bands for services specifically for the EU/UK markets
- EU/UK adjustable band plan
