The Horizon GX1850GPS with it's built-in 66-channel WAAS (navigation by satellite) GPS receiver is the top-nudge modern marine radio. It's supplyed with the flexibility to use NMEA2000 data or the built-in WAAS GPS to provide more accurate position data on the radio's display.

And it's NMEA2000 compatible with easy plug and play connection to the NMEA module.
A single plug-in interface enables connection of GPS data and DSC calls between compatible devices.

The GX1850GPS is compatible with Standard Horizon's latest remote control microphone RAM4, model SSM-70, where all functions on the main radio can be controlled through RAM4. Including all radio functions, DSC functions and intercom functions between the remote control microphone and the radio base.

Easy-to-operate menu system through E2O redesigned with the operator in mind. The new easy-to-use menu system now more intuitive than ever. You get access to all menu functions and settings with just a few simple steps. DSC calling and DSC programming has never been easier.

Mounting a VHF radio has never been easier. The Explorer Series VHFs have an ultra-thin, compact radio body, just 82mm deep, or half the depth of comparable VHF radios on the market.
The rear housing design also provides flexibility for flush mounting the radio (requires optional MMB-97 bracket) in tight areas or console mounting the radio by taking up less dashboard space and allowing for more mounting options.
