Marine radio with lots of features even though it is an entry-level model.

The station is very robust and obviously waterproof. It has large easy-to-operate buttons with a clear display.

The standard microphone is based on Vertex Standard's latest technology "ClearVoice" which greatly reduces background noise from wind noise and engine noise.

A very good feature is that the station supports DSC (class D), ie automatic emergency call. By pairing the radio with an existing GPS (not required) it can send emergency calls with your position over and over again with a simple push of a button. In addition, DSC channel 70 is always continuously monitored for incoming emergency calls, regardless of which channel is currently being used.
