The RigExpert Fobos is the Swiss army knife of Software Defined Radios (SDR). With its incredible performance and lightning-fast USB 3.0 interface, it is the ideal tool for a wide range of applications.
14 bit ADC
USB 3.0
50 Mhz RTBW
With a continuous frequency range of 100 kHz to 6 GHz and an incredible bandwidth of up to 50 MHz, the Fobos offers true 14-bit sampling resolution and complete data integrity. Whether SIGINT/COMINT, spectrum sensing, radio measurement, amateur radio applications, wireless communication, radio astronomy or high performance telemetry - the RigExpert Fobos is equipped for all tasks.
In the frequency range from 100 khz to 25 MHz, the Fobos operates as a direct scanning receiver with two RF inputs. A separate input is available for the range from 25 MHz to 6000 MHz and the receiver works with dual conversion.
The option of using an external 10 MHz reference for the RigExpert Fobos allows synchronization with other devices or systems. This is particularly useful if several SDR devices or other measuring instruments are to be coordinated in one system.
Well-known programs such as "HDSDR" or "SDR-Sharp" can be used as software; both can be obtained free of charge from the RigExpert website. The easy-to-install driver for Windows is available here.
The 5-volt power supply is provided via the robust USB-B connection, the maximum required current is 850 mA; only 450 mA is required in idle mode.
The extremely compact dimensions and low weight make it easy to take with you; connected to a laptop, you can go signal hunting almost anywhere.
