Simple and easy to use

Frequently used features are dedicated to the keypad for quick access to the desired function. The large flat keyboard provides smooth and fast function management.
2.3" high-visibility LCD screen

The 2.3 inch screen has high contrast and ensures good readability even in direct sunlight. The selected frequency is displayed with large characters and can be easily read at a glance at the display. The night mode also allows for easy reading in low light.
Quick Select function

The IC-A25NE stores the most recently used 10 channels. You can easily access channels by using the directional keys, channel knob, or keypad. This is suitable for switching between multiple channels, such as NAV and COM channels. In addition, you can freely edit (replace, delete, reorder) the stored channels.
Built-in Bluetooth® for hands-free functionality (for IC-A25NE)

A third-party® Bluetooth wireless headset, such as 3M™Peltor™WS™5, provides a convenient hands-free feature. By using the optional Bluetooth® headset Icom VS-3, the "Side tone" function can also be used.
Intelligent battery with detailed battery status

The included intelligent 2350 mAh intelligent battery provides up to 10.5 hours* of uptime. The health status of the battery can be checked on the battery status screen in the menu. It is very useful for optimal charging and battery health.

VOR navigation functions (for IC-A25NE)

    Cdi (Course Deviation Indicator) is detailed as a real VOR instrument, and shows deviations from your course.
    Note (Omni Bearing Selector) allows you to change course from the original route.
    The TO-FROM indicator shows the position ratio between your aircraft and the course selected by NOTE.
    With the ABSS (Automatic Bearing Set System) function, you can set the current course as a new course in only two simple steps.

Search function for nearby stations (for IC-A25NE)

The search function helps you reach nearby ground stations. This feature searches for nearby stations using the station's memories that have GPS location information. To use the search function for nearby stations, the position and frequency of the ground stations must be programmed.
Built-in GPS receiver with simplified "Waypoint NAV" (for IC-A25NE)

The simplified "Waypoint NAV" guides you to a destination by using up-to-date location information from GPS (also GLONASS and SBAS). "Waypoint NAV" has two features: "Direct-To NAV" and "Flight Plan NAV". Up to 10 routes and 300 waypoints can be memorized in the IC-A25NE.
Flight routes with Android™/iOS™ App (for IC-A25NE)

Using the RS-AERO1A (Android) or RS-AERO1I (iOS) apps, you can make flight routes on an Android/iOS device and import the route to the IC-A25NE via Bluetooth®. The following four features are available: Create a route, set "Direct-To NAV", view route information, or view waypoint information.
