Description
This adapter allows you to connect Icom's table microphones with an 8-pin round connector to Kenwood radio with an 8-pin round socket.
For example, you can use your Icom SM-30 microphone with your Kenwood TS-2000.
Comes with a 15 cm flexible black mic cable.
Fits Icom's table microphones. for example:
SM-5, SM-6, SM-8, SM-10, SM-20, SM-30, SM-50
Suitable for Kenwood HF, for example:
TS-450 TS-950 TS-140 TS-680 TS-440 TS-430 TS-2000 etc.
Note: Use only with the specified marks.
Mic. gain on the radio needs to be adjusted.
Channel up/down buttons on the microphone (if available) does not work.
*Due to lack of voltage in the microphone jack, the adapter does not work with the TS-930.

Does not work
You cannot use Icom Electret mic's on any Kenwood radio because the radio's do NOT contain the bias voltage needed to power the mics including the TS-2000 which I have.
