ANTENNA SELECTION FOR AM FLIGHT AND FM
You can listen to the medium wave with the built-in ferrite antenna and use the earphone cord as an antenna instead of the regular rubber stick. You select the antenna type in "SET mode".

1300 MEMORIES
The ICOM IC-R6 has 1000 memory channels, 50 band can limits and 200 memory channels for automatic loading during search. The standard channels can be divided into 22 memory banks (Max. 100 channels per bank). Each channel can be given a "name" of 6 characters. An EEPROM ensures that no backup battery is needed.
 
 
SUPPLY WITH EXTERNAL VOLTAGE (MAX. 6 VDC)
The IC-R6 has an input for power from the wall charger BC-136E or cigarette lighter cable CP-18E. NiMH batteries are charged even when the receiver is plugged in.
 
 
DIFFERENT SEARCH FUNCTIONS
IC-R6 supports 9 different search types to take full advantage of the recipient's capabilities. "Auto memory scan" scans a defined frequency range and when a signal is perceived, it is automatically inserted into a memory with frequency, mode of traffic and any tone signal
 
SUBTONE NOISE BARRIER (CTCSS) AND DTCS
If you want a quiet fit on stations that use any of the above opening systems, this function is excellent
 
SIMPLE OPERATION
The [BAND] button gives you easy access to one of 11 pre-programmed tapes. The appropriate mode of use for this band is selected automatically. [BAND], [TS], [Mode] and [V/M] buttons have been made larger to facilitate operation and the window displays a wealth of information
 
PROGRAMMING/CLONING VIA USB CABLE
The IC-R6 can be programmed from a computer using the additional accessory cable OPC-478UC. With the help of software CS-R6 (purchased separately) channel, bank, search settings, etc. can be programmed

FAST INSTUKTION TO PROGRAMMING

Start by restoring R6. Turn off r6, push in and hold func and v/m, turn on R6 when pressed.

Clear and FM 145,000 PSKIP will now appear in the window.

Hold the FUNC and turn the STEERING WHEEL counterclockwise to 78,000

Tap ts/set quickly. You will now see 25.0. Turn the STEERING WHEEL counterclockwise to 12.5. Quickly press the TS/SET again. Fm 145.000 PSKIP will now appear in the window.

Press and hold the TS/SET until D SEL (1M) appears. Turn the KNOB clockwise to display THE EXPAND. Hold the FUNC and turn the STEERING WHEEL one step clockwise. You will now see ON.
Release the FUNC and turn the KNOB clockwise to PAUSE (10SEC). Hold the FUNC and turn the STEERING WHEEL counterclockwise to HOLD. Tap ts/set quickly.

Now we're going to add frequencies.
Select ex 79.5375. Turn the STEERING WHEEL clockwise so that it says 79,537 ) a small 50 is next to the number 7).
To save the memory frequency, hold v/m for at least 10 seconds. You will hear a number of beeps and finally it says MR and 001.

001 disappears as soon as you release the V/M button.
This means that the frequency is stored in memory 000 and now memory 001 is available for the next frequency.

We now take a frequency to ex 79.2625. Select it by turning the STEERING WHEEL.
To save the memory frequency, hold v/m for at least 10 seconds. You will hear a number of beeps and finally it says MR and 002.

Repeat this procedure until you have entered all the frequencies you want.

To then scan the frequencies you have entered, press V/M quickly, now items 011 appear, and above the memory number it says MR.
MRI means you're in your memory.
Start scanning by holding mode/scan, now R6 is starting to scan
